Our Somaliland Government Communications and Media programme marked a major milestone on July 21 when, with programme support, the University of Hargeisa opened a brand new journalism faculty – the first faculty of its kind in Somaliland. Team Leader Andy Hill and Project Director Barrie Way were on hand at the launch and have written up this blog about what this now means for Somaliland’s free press.
Coffey Project Manager, Donal Mageean, is at the Global Disability Summit today. While working on the Pay No Bribe programme in Sierra Leone, he worked extensively on making sure the programme was as accessible for disabled people as able-bodied. Read his blog to find out more.
